There are more than 80 types of autoimmune disease which include Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Hasimoto’s thyroiditis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Coeliac Disease to name a few. The cause of autoimmunity is complex, often involving a combination of environmental, genetic, hormonal, lifestyle and immune considerations.
